John's Philosophy ~
John opened this physical therapy practice in Plymouth,
Indiana with a commitment to providing services that
meet the needs of patients and physicians in the
Marshall County area.
John has a clear philosophy for treating patients: he
believes in giving each patient one-on-one direct
physical therapy care, including very individualized
treatment programs based on the patient's needs. He
believes that treating the mechanical cause of the
symptoms to minimize the chance of recurrence of
symptoms. He is also passionate about the quality of
patient care and the patient satisfaction coming first
and foremost. John is known for making everyone feel
welcomed and cared for in the clinic, making the patient
in front of him feel as though they were the most
important person in the world.
Professional Commitment ~
John has a concentrated background in physical therapy
since graduating from University of Indianapolis,
Krannert School of Physical Therapy in 1994. John has
achieved extensive training in orthopedic physical
therapy from the following teachings: McKenzie Institute
for treatment of lumbar and cervical spine, McConnell
Approach to the Problem Knee, McConnell Approach to the
Problem Shoulder, Sahrmann Approach for Diagnosis and
Treatment of Movement Impairment Syndromes, Gary Gray's
Chain Reaction Explosion, and Brian Mulligan Manual
Therapy Techniques. John remains actively involved in
the profession of physical therapy in order to stay
abreast of the latest and most innovative treatment
approaches.

Kathy Anders
MSPT – Physical Therapist

Kathy has a Masters degree in Physical
Therapy from the University of Alabama
in Birmingham. She graduated in 1991 and
has 19 years of experience in
pediatrics, burn and wound care, neuro-rehabilitation,
wheel chair seating and positioning;
also outpatient orthopedics. Kathy
remains committed to helping the whole
person regain normal function

Kyser-LaFree, MS, OTR
Occupational
Therapist

Shelly has a concentrated background in
Occupational Therapy since graduating
from the University of Indianapolis in
1991. Bringing over 18 years experience
as an Occupational Therapist, Shelly
specializes in treating hand and arm
injuries. An Occupational Therapist
evaluates the self-care, work and leisure
skills of a person and plans and
implements functional activities to
develop, restore, and/or maintain the
person's ability to accomplish
activities of daily living (eating,
dressing, bathing, etc. and necessary
occupational tasks). |

Laurine Ringer
Physical Therapy Assistant

Laurine graduated from Michiana College
with an Associate’s Degree in Applied
Science. She worked 5 ½ years in nursing
home settings gaining knowledge in
various Orthopedic and Neurological
diagnoses. Laurine is dedicated to
applying her skills and techniques to
assist patients in reaching their goals.

Karla offers you a warm welcome to
LaFree and is often your first contact
on the telephone or in person. She is
happy to assist you in scheduling
appointments and will direct any
questions you may have about therapy or
the clinic to the staff. She is also in
charge of keeping an open line of
communication between Doctor and
Therapist, so that you can be assured
that all of your physical therapy needs
will be met.

Mary Ann keeps area physician’s, case
managers, patients and others informed
about
LaFree Physical Therapy services. She
also is responsible for improving
awareness with physician’s, making sure
that the wants and needs of physical
therapy patients are met. Communication
is key to building relationships, and
Mary Ann is committed to building on
John’s already great reputation of a
strong commitment to his patients and to
the doctors.

Claudia is our insurance claims expert.
She is the one who contacts the
insurance companies and seeks
information to determine our patient’s
benefits. She then will be the one to
contact them and will explain co-pays
etc. before the first appointment is
made, so that there won’t be any
surprises once they come in to the
office. She says insurance is like a 3D
jig saw puzzle, it can sometimes be a
challenge to fit everything together,
but it’s a challenge she loves to take
